Sources of selenium : eggs, fish, meat, brazil nuts..
Too much selenium causes selenosis, a condition that, in its mildest form, can lead to loss of hair and nails.

- adult men and women 19+ years of age is 55 micrograms (55µg) daily,
- women who are pregnant and lactating need about 60 - 70 micrograms (60 - 70µg) daily, respectively.

The Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) for selenium:
- all adults 19+ years of age and pregnant and lactating women is 400 micrograms (400µg) daily.
